Madrid, 25 de noviembre de 2024. Desde Anove (Asociación Nacional de Obtentores Vegetales) hace tiempo que trabajamos en la búsqueda de talento dentro de nuestras fronteras, una de las demandas principales de nuestros socios es el bajo número de estudiantes en grados de agronomía, biotecnología, o informática que se quieran orientar su futuro profesional en nuestro sector. Por ello, lanzamos estos premios a trabajos fin de grado que se vayan a realizar en el curso escolar 2024-2025 de las múltiples áreas que pueden estar relacionadas con la mejora vegetal, hablamos de biotecnología, bioinformática, agronomía o tecnología de los alimentos entre otras disciplinas.
La tecnología del futuro que ya tenemos disponible
Cuando se habla de avances en agricultura, en nuevas técnicas, muchas veces parece que hablamos de un futuro, como cuando pensábamos que en el año 2000 iríamos en coches voladores. La diferencia con este simple ejemplo es que la tecnología del futuro la tenemos aquí y ahora, son las conocidas como nuevas técnicas genómicas en este caso aplicadas en mejora vegetal para el desarrollo de nuevas variedades de semillas y plantas, entre las que se incluye las conocidas siglas CRISPR, descubiertas por el científico español Francis Mojica.
